Not since The Blair Witch Project has there been a LOW budget horror movie that has landed number one at US Box Office. Paranormal Activity, which reportedly only cost $15,000 to make, took $22m in its first weekend on nationwide release and landed the prestigious title. Like BBC putts it, US box office turns Paranormal!
I guess that Kevin Smith has taught the newcomers of Hollywood well on how to use whatever they can get their hands on, create movie ideas accordingly and build a viral hype around it. Only thanks to their online positive word-of-mouth interest, Paramount Pictures decided to release Paranormal Activity nationwide after playing to sold-out crowds at midnight-only screenings for the past four weekends.
To follow my theme of 80:s arcade tees, here's a sweet Space Invaders t-shirt. But the sweetest arcade game of the 80:s, the DEFENDER is still to be made in to a t-shirt. I guess I'll have to saddle with playing it here at the office for now..
The Swedish T-shirt Store was created in the frustration over the standardized offerings from the multiple retail stores and the abundance of soulless fashion brands.
Even though they have sticked their chin out in this saying, they can be proud of heir achievement. Just check out this Pack Man T-shirt. Pure brilliance!
The federal government in the U.S. has resisted any change to marijuana's illegal status at the federal level. The Supreme Court ruled in 2005 in Raich v. Gonzales that the federal government can prosecute medical marijuana patients, even in states with compassionate use laws.
Even though it's one of Obamas promises to change this, and make whats already legal, legal.. I would love to sit down and have a chat with the feller that came up with this brilliant idea to legalize something, but somehow forget to tell it to the rest of the country. So if someone gets caught using legal prescripted drugs, they'll go down hard for drug abuse.
Doesn't that sound a lot like that kid in your class that told you that it was perfectly okay to take stuff from the grocery store whiteout paying. The only difference is that WE were ten!?
SURU (which means “hand printed” or print by hand” in Japaneses) is a concept retail store and brand. The vision is simple: combine the world of art and fashion into a retail store that caters to today’s ever growing demand for high end street wear and fashion forward consumers. Just check out this Joker Vogue T-shirt for example you'll see what I mean.
For a magical hour or so, Americans huddled around their TV sets Thursday afternoon, worried about Balloon Boy and his floating silver portabello mushroom ship.
Led by the broadcast media, it appears plenty of people were fooled by, what would turn out to be, the Balloon Boy 'hoax'. The Heene family got valuable air time on the major networks last Thursday and Friday. That's exactly what dad Richard Heene wanted, based on the charges that appear likely against the family. The Heenes already had appeared on ABC's "Wife Swap," and may have been looking for other reality shows to be involved in. The sweet taste of publicity led to the incident, according to officials on Sunday, according to Kansas City Star.
Or, was this just another publicity stunt, not by the Heene family, but by Pixar and "those-who-must-not-be-named", to promote their latest movie UP? Lets start by checking the Heene's bank account for any large deposit from "you-know-who"..

Sweden (PRWEB) September 29, 2009 -- Cool T shirts have taken a new direction at T-post, the world's first wearable magazine. To fully understand this social phenomenon T-post has released a video called 'What the F**k is T-post?' at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vIFjwrUjDUQ. It features examples of its new graphic T shirts.
Design Milk is a blog dedicated to art, architecture, & design. This is one of my favorite blogs, not only because they mention T-post a few days ago. But since they consistently manage to keep a sweet mix between the three. And because they have good taste!
The L.A. based street-wear company DETER has made yet another sweet t-shirt. With a brilliant mix of retro designs and bold colors this TV-shirt is nothing less than a masterpiece.
With fear and delight I've been following the progress of one of the most interesting projects since The Lord of the Rings. My all time favorite children's book Where the Wild Things Are is going to be a motion picture, directed by non other than Spike Jonze.
On paper this looks f**king awesome! But since the stakes is to possibly ruin the best children's book ever written. The stakes might be too high.
So I'll put the call to Spike on hold for a while, on the matter of doing an issue for T-post, until he's proved that he can do the book justice. Meanwhile why not give Maurice Sandak a call..
The king of cool finally made it on to a t-shirt. A guy that drops the following line to Spike Jonze, "- In my youth I was a ballet dancer. I would like to catch that on camera before I'm too old to do it.", is a immortal legend in my eyes. It resulted in this modest performance.
Always pissed off. He was tricked and had this thing put into his body that would kill him if he didn't pull off his mission. Check out the meanest badass in movie history, Snake Plissken.
Here's the latest video from Dead by April. It was a nice surprise to see Jimmie rocking Aggression is its Own Reward. A suitable pick I'd say. Thanks Jimmie for supporting!
My latest purchase is from a brand called Hype Means Nothing. This fantastic t-shirt is from the French labels first collection. Check out Barack Obama, Britney Spears, Jay-Z, Kanye West, and others wearing finger-glasses on their web shop.
I just got back from Paris France. While visiting my favorite store in the wold, Colette, I got a nice surprise. I found two of our t-shirts in the newly released book TEES. Our issue 37 and our Members issue. Thanks Maki for putting them in the book and thanks Colette for putting the book in my eyesight.
We just decided the topic for next months issue of T-post. And "Burglar caught after using Facebook" is not it. But you have to admit, it is pretty darn funny!
My name is Peter Lundgren and I'm the founder and editor-in-chief on T-post. 'A Day in the Life of a T-shirt Maker' is a daily update on T-post, the life around it and stuff that simply interests and inspires me.
Should you ever have any thoughts regarding what we have or haven't done, don't hesitate to send me an e-mail on peter@t-post.se and let me know. I'd really enjoy reading your thoughts and opinions.
