This fantastic t-shirt is released by a Swedish company named Tshirt Store. The t-shirt is called Dream Catcher and is designed by Hvass & Hannibal. When I entered "The Tshirt Store" here in Umeå today I thought the print looked very familiar. After some digging around in my old files I realized why.
The print to the right in the picture was made and presented to us for our 30th issue "Twenty Year Nap" back in August 2007. In the end we ended up using one of the other great designs presented to us by the same designer.
But what The Tshirt Store probably don't know is that this particular design is based on a quite interesting story about a man laying in a coma for over twenty years. So if you want to read the whole story behind this print, that's now resurfaced at "The T-shirt Store" after "just" two years of coma, you can read it here.
“When Jan Luedecke of Toronto was arrested and tried for sexual assault, he had an unusual defense — he did it in his sleep." (Read the full story of Blame It On The Zzz's)
This issue is designed by the amazing Diane Barcelowsky. And when we asked her about her graphic interpretation, she simply replied, “Is this a dream or reality? Who's the dreamer, the sleepwalker? You guess. What are dreams capable of becoming? A daydream can become reality? Can a night dream?” Perhaps the answers to her questions can be found at thediane.com.
The copy is taken from the T-post neck-print written by Chad Rea.
This is the second shirt from Print Liberations "Great Moments of the 20th Century" series. It's featuring the first Macintosh, or Mac. The Macintosh was introduced on January 24, 1984; it was the first commercially successful personal computer to feature a mouse and a graphical user interface rather than a command-line interface. And it's making a great t-shirt print.
Here's our good friend and house photographer Knotans new book "Master Chair". It's a collection of some of his best and weirdest pictures. It's only printed in a limited edition so make sure you order it before it's to late..
This Video was created by Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). They probably did spend most of their summer vacation rehearsing this. But you have got to admit that it looks pretty cool!
Alan P. aka 6th Milks is actually student in a French high school of art and a fresh freelance graphic designer. He created in 2009, LAFAMILLE in collaboration with C2.0 and INK. Even if this union has just begun his story, the brand is already proposing a large choice of home-made t-shirts which you can order from their web site. Go Urkel!!
Shepard Fairey's work has been iconic for over twenty years now. Last year, his Obama "Hope" poster quickly grew more popular than anyone could have dreamt of. The iconic artwork inspired designers and t-shirt makers worldwide, and soon became an official element in the presidential campaign.
Now the Associated Press is threatening Fairy, claiming that his "HOPE" poser is based on an Associated Press photo. And therefore violates their copyright. But Fairy and his crew is fighting back claiming the poster falls under the concept of fair use since the artwork was significantly altered from the original photo.
Striking at the heart of his fair use case against the AP, Shepard Fairey has now been forced to admit that he sued the AP under false pretenses by lying about which AP photograph he used to make the Hope and Progress posters. Mr. Fairey has also now admitted to the AP that he fabricated and attempted to destroy other evidence in an effort to bolster his fair use case and cover up his previous lies and omissions.
Designflux is korea's most popular digital publication on design, technology and art. They've also done some kick as DVDs worth checking out. Thanks guys for the mention! Unfortunately our Korean is a little rusty at the moment, but it looks really good.
"Zoetica Ebb has created herself from whole cloth. She is very much an internet personality, moves through the world virtually identical to the person she projects online." This is a quote from Lou O'Bedlams article about Zo, which I think is a perfect description of her. Thanks Zo for your mention and for your fantastic pictures of Sexy Apocalypse.
I hate this time of year. Don't get me wrong, it's really pretty and all in the fall. But whats the deal with this f**king cold that magically turns up around this time of year. My entire family has it. Today even that dog got it!? I though that was medically impossible? But noohoo, he's walking around snoring and sneezing.. Are you shitting me?
Someone please wake me and let this nightmare be over!

The Tank Theory Artist Society aims to expand upon the art based t-shirt by giving some of today's premier artists and designers a canvas with a Tank Theory label. Each month, Tank Theory will produce one new t-shirt design, printed in limited quantities and available on the Tank Theory website and in select locations worldwide. This nice Neon Death T-shirt is one of them.
One of the coolest projects I've seen in a long time is Blood is the New Black. According to themselves they have two goals in life:
1. Showcase emerging artists in order to aid their careers in the arts. 2. Introduce you to artists you may not have had the opportunity to know about otherwise.
My name is Peter Lundgren and I'm the founder and editor-in-chief on T-post. 'A Day in the Life of a T-shirt Maker' is a daily update on T-post, the life around it and stuff that simply interests and inspires me.
Should you ever have any thoughts regarding what we have or haven't done, don't hesitate to send me an e-mail on peter@t-post.se and let me know. I'd really enjoy reading your thoughts and opinions.
